Shearwater OpenCPS Software User Group Meeting
The annual meeting for our European clients was held at our offices in Royal Tunbridge Wells last week. The user group meeting commenced with an introduction to Shearwater GeoServices by Gareth Williams, Chief Geophysicist. Gareth gave an overview of how Shearwater GeoServices was born, its values of safety, quality and integrity, and our vision for the future.
After the overview we launched straight into our talks given by a few select developers and support geoscientists; Anna Graham, Ken Smith and Kent Stevens. The talks were lively and covered all the work done over the past 12 months on pushing OpenCPS further in to advanced-processing territory. Some of our current tools have been updated to make them work harder for your data, such as the combination of our 3DSRME tool with our SWME tool for more seamless processing of difficult tasks.
We were also proud to announce a major update to our Model Building Advanced Package, which now includes Well Analysis. This is a big step forward for OpenCPS and is the beginning of a new avenue for data processing capabilities. From further demonstrations held at our user group meeting, a high level of interest was shown towards our new developments with a number of clients signing up to our Beta-testing program.
The meeting was rounded up with a session where we showed our roadmap for the next year, and we asked our clients what they would like to see in their software; At Shearwater OpenCPS, we take a very personal approach to software development, listening to the needs of our clients and developing tools to suit any requested requirements.
A number of clients extended their stay in Tunbridge Wells to partake in one-to-one sessions with the OpenCPS team. To ensure we maintain a bespoke service for our clients, opportunities like these are a great way to discuss any processing challenges that may arise. Our team can assist you directly to reach the best solution for your project.
The feedback we have had from the meeting has been nothing but positive. We can’t wait to do it again next year and present our European clients with even more developments to the OpenCPS software.
