Petrobras gains greater depth with Reveal training

17 Jul 2024

polygon iconRecently we provided on-site training for one of our largest Reveal clients, Petrobras, at their offices in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Reveal is the leading seismic processing software. Our software enables processing and imaging, in time and depth, for marine environments from a single user interface.

This particular Reveal depth processing session is just one part of the ongoing training and support services we provide to all our software clients. We see this as an essential part of their Reveal journey. In the last 12 months we have provided training to existing and potential clients plus tailored support and site visits.

The Petrobras geoscientists were our ‘students’ for the week and underwent a high-quality combination of theory and practical sessions. Liege Boeker Rhodes, Software Support Liaison – North and South America, Rob Light, Regional Support Manager – Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and Chris Purcell Senior Advisor - Imaging, delivered the training – in English and Portuguese, to suit the audience. Luckily, we received excellent feedback!

Rob said: “It was a great pleasure to work with the Petrobras team, helping them improve their knowledge of Reveal software and attain a better user experience, and an improved return on their software investment. The team now feels more equipped to get the most from the software’s depth processing functionality.”

We provide this well-established support and training for all Reveal clients, big or small.

About Reveal

We use Reveal extensively ourselves, and it’s licensed across the industry.

Reveal has firmly established itself as the favoured seismic processing software in the field – with a trend towards greater adoption and convergence. The cornerstone of its use is for exploration and production in the hydrocarbon industry. However, Reveal is also used to process seismic data for shallow hazard mapping, geothermal projects, carbon capture and storage (CCS), the nuclear industry, as well as water resource and deep earth investigations.
